I have been loving backless dresses lately. They are just perfect for summer and they are good for this heat. It has been extremely hot, so having the back open can show off that tan and cool you off a little. It also can add that little something to any dress. Above are some of my favorite choices that I have found online. I just think they are so cute. Plus they are maxi dresses which are also great for summer.
Back in January I did a post about what I think everyone should have in their bag. I decided to do an updated version of that post with more items that I think everyone should have during the summertime. I added a makeup bag again in this post because that can carry all the little extra things you need for summer like chapstick, perfume, and etc. I also added a water bottle because you should always be hydrated especially during the summertime. Another thing is I don't know what the perfume roller above smells like it was just to give a visual idea (any perfume will do). Also if you go all the way down you can check out the Giveaway I am having!
I am also having a giveaway on this post! The giveaway is to win an Iphone case from Iconemesis. Iconemesis has a large variety of very creative Iphone cases. The case above is from there. You can win any Iphone case for yourself or for someone you know. All you have to do to enter is go down below and fill in the entry box. On my last post I talked about the kimono trend and I have sort of continued it to this post. I styled the kimono trend differently this time though. The last one was styled on the more boho/edgy side and this one is styled on the more feminine/boho side. That is why I named this post hippie chic because it has that boho feel and whenever someone says chic I think of clothing that has more of a feminine feel. My favorite piece from this outfit are the shoes and I was shocked to see that they are from Ugg Australia. Also I would wear just a plain white t-shirt under the kimono.
I have been seeing a lot of kimonos on pinterest lately and I really have been liking them. One thing that I noticed is that they are really difficult to pull off and they really have to be styled correctly. I find that they look best when styled on the edgy/boho side. That is why I loved the kimono above, it has that edgy/boho feel and has a western/tribal look to it. Also I think a fringe bag would look great with the look/theme of this outfit.
